Tiny taste of what I do.
Well I do exist! Whoda thunk. Sorry posts have been few and far between lately (read: non-existent), but I do want to be writing them!
Anyhow, I just had to stop in quick to share a blurb about something I've been working on during my stay at Lodgenet. I'm one of the developers on the team who is developing the Lodgenet Power Portal, which allows hotel and hospital owners, operators, managers...whoever to very quickly and easily customize various bits about their guests' stay. Part of what I'm most excited about is the web services we've been able to add to the system. As the videos below mention, we're going to be putting out an in-room-dining piece to the app, which would use the services I'm working on! It's really quite exciting, at least for me.
Just the other day our app was covered on CNBC and KSFY (our local station).
CNBC:
KSFY:
Also, I've used the app on our test TV's and it's such a blast to run. It's hard to describe the feeling of "woah, I just did MAGIC!" that you get when you turn the tv off and on or change channels, adjust volume or order a movie from your smart phone...across the room.
